Under current Missouri law, there is a LIMIT to the number of records you can get expunged over the course of your lifetime. That limit is:
- TWO felonies + THREE misdemeanors
BUT there are some exceptions to this limit!
- If you have multiple felonies but they were charged in the same case or around the same time, they may only count as one for expungement purposes
- If you have multiple misdemeanors but they were charged in the same case or around the same time, they may only count as one for expungement purposes
- Expungements from other states don't count towards this number!
- Marijuana expungements following its decriminalization in Missouri don't count towards this number!
- DUI, Nonsupport, Minor in Possession, and Constitutional Marijuana Expungements do NOT count toward this limit!
